Your Friend Behind The Lens

Since I can remember, I have embraced nostalgia like a friend. I’ve always been drawn to the black-and-white photographs of my family, of a Cuba I never had the chance to experience. To me, they've felt like gifts from past generations, small windows into our history that spark conversations, uncover stories, and keep our roots alive.

Photographs aren't just images, they are reminders of love, presence, and the chapters that shape the very meaning of life. They're a gift for every generation, connecting us to those who came before and those who will come after.

In photographs, we are eternal. I believe that the soul of a moment can live on inside an image long after it has passed. Their timeless nature gives them a profound power, the ability to awaken nostalgia every time they are revisited.

That’s what draws me to this work. It is not just about how they look, but how they make you feel each time you return to them. I began taking photos out of a desire to preserve fleeting moments, as a way to hold onto meaningful memories when life felt like sand slipping through my fingers.

Even before photography became my career, my creative nature was already part of me. But it is with a camera in hand that I feel most connected and present.

Hi, I'm Cristina.

A bit about me....

I’m a Miami native, where I live with my beautiful husky, Luna. I'm always dreaming about my next adventure and take every chance I can to escape to a new destination. Nature keeps me grounded, and I’ve been hiking my way through all 63 U.S. National Parks (I’m halfway there). An epic concert, a day at the beach, time spent in good company, and an iced matcha latte are some of the things that make my heart happy.

Inspired by quiet mornings, the sun on the horizon, creative art, old photographs, slow travel, and the unique stories of people.

Like photographs, scars remind us of the existence of the past, the certainty that it truly happened. In my case, that truth is not abstract; it is intimately personal.

As a cancer survivor myself, I know the power of having this intense chapter of life documented in an honest, tender, and authentic way. I was fortunate to have a friend capture my own journey in the middle of my fight, and those images, filled with strength and courage, have become a deeply meaningful part of my story.

To pay that forward, I offer a limited number of pro-bono sessions each year to individuals currently undergoing treatment who wish to have this moment in their life photographed, for any reason, and in whatever way feels right to them. These sessions are about honoring the unique journey, strength, and spirit of a fighter. They can be taken solo or with family. All ages welcome. Currently available to the South Florida area.

If you or someone you know would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please reach out below!

“Cristina is an incredible engagement photographer. She took the time to understand my vision, review inspiration, and study the venue to plan a thoughtful shot list. During the shoot, she made us feel completely at ease and it shows. The photos are stunning, natural, and elevated. I now have a coffee table book of our engagement photos that I’ll treasure forever. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a couples or engagement photographer!”
