Crystal and Will are the kind of couple that immediately draw you in, confident, attractive, and completely themselves. I spent the entire morning with them, and this gallery captures the first part of what ended up being a really fun and layered shoot.
We had met beforehand over happy hour to talk through their ideas. Crystal was drawn to something more classic, romantic beach vibes, and a blue and white dress she had just bought. Will, on the other hand, wanted something bold and unexpected involving a cheetah print outfit, leaning into a more non-traditional, over-the-top direction that matched his outgoing personality. Instead of choosing one, we built the session around both. I always want sessions to feel personal and reflective of each couple, and that often means making space for more than one vision.
The beach portion of the shoot felt vibrant and full of energy. While we were shooting by a lifeguard tower, we had a fun, completely unexpected moment when a musician filming a music video asked if they could step in as a couple for an engagement scene. It was one of those perfectly spontaneous moments that made the morning even more memorable, and they fully leaned into it, showing off their acting skills.
For the second part of the session, I encouraged them to really go all in on their wild concept, and they showed up with crowns, a statement chair, and the kind of attitude that made the whole thing come to life. I included a few of those images at the end of this gallery, a reminder that a session doesn’t have to be just one thing. It can reflect every side of who you are.
