Diana and her daughter, Mary Jane, are truly best friends. So naturally, Diana wanted a mommy-and-me session, and Mary Jane was just as excited about it.
The inspiration for the shoot came from a pair of Breakfast at Tiffany’s sleep masks Diana found, and we built the entire concept from there. We kept it intimate and personal by shooting at home, creating a simple set using her bed, a backdrop, and pieces from around the house to bring everything together.
From there, it was all about letting them be themselves. The energy between them is so natural and full of joy. It made the entire session feel effortless. Mary Jane’s laughter was contagious, the kind that fills a room and pulls everyone into it.
I love the candid shots in this shoot. This gallery feels playful, personal, and full of life, a true reflection of their relationship and the kind of moments that make these sessions so meaningful.
